August 2010, China's pesticide industry completed a total investment in fixed assets 2.08 billion, an increase of 86.0%. Chemical pesticides which sub-sector investment 1.27 billion yuan, an increase of 71.7%, bio-pesticide industry invested 810 million yuan, an increase of 113.6%. However, compared with July, the investment continued to show lower than the previous. 1-8 months total, pesticides, industry-wide investment of 16.77 billion yuan to complete, an increase of 36.2%; the proportion of total planned investment of 38.5%.
